that strength training and weightlifting had a direct impact on athletes to make them bigger, stronger, faster.
Because for the longest time, many believed that weightlifting could be detrimental to athletes at times.
And he was at LSU for a very long time and helped develop a lot of different guys, but he was the first athlete
strength and conditioning coach in the National Football League when he was hired by the Chargers in 1963.
Pretty amazing.
