He seems like a guy to me that could be in the mix for starts next year, could be in the mix as like a useful long reliever.
Maybe they shorten him up and, you know, have him kind of throw one full inning max.
I think he'd be useful there.
He can fit a bunch of different roles.
And I think when you're shopping.
In the point of the market, the Blue Jays were shopping, and you're kind of looking for a useful player that, hey, this is a 40-man guy, could fit multiple roles for us next year, gives us the depth that we need, especially coming off of an injury-plagued season when you're looking at some of the guys that got hurt in that rotation.
So I think it's a very useful piece and a guy that could be valuable for them.
I think when you're looking at the Blue Jays trade deadline, it's different from some of these other rebuilding teams.
The Orioles are looking way beyond that.
2027 the angels are looking way beyond 2027 the cardinals are looking way beyond 2027 where for the blue jays i think they kind of fit the roster if it's it's a retool they're looking at next year um you know as long as baseball is played and and all that um i think they set themselves up in a good position to kind of be back in in contention uh next april
