Any of that, well, they didn't fully sell and they'd won a bunch of games in a row and the wild card was down to four. I mean, all of that is still true. Missed opportunity as all the teams they're chasing in the wild card race also lost yesterday. But the Jays did not come up with a win. They lose 7-2 against the Astros. They'll do the rubber match today at 2-10 as Jamison tie on. Takes on Hunter Brown not. Dylan sees this. I have it written in my notes here because the Jays utilizing a six-man rotation will bump some guys around. Although that six-man rotation may have only lasted two innings. The talk before the game was that the Jays would temporarily go to a six-man rotation because they have six starters.
And, you know, that's challenging when you play 17 games in 17 days and 30 games in 31 days because it means you're running fast. an arm short in the bullpen for that entire time, which is why when Trey Savage leaves after two innings of yesterday's game, after feeling a pinch in his knee, you have to kind of lean on Chad Dallas whether or not you want to for that number of innings. That's how it went down. We don't have an update on Trey Savage yet. He is set for an MRI today. I'm Josh trying to relaying after the game that he felt a pinch in his knee while warming up. I'm pretty good. You know, it would be better if the wild card was three games back and they had won yesterday, but... My standard answer this summer has been I'm good. Baseball-wise, I could be better. That's about where it is.
Well, especially with everything that happened yesterday, too, not just the loss, but I think we all hope that Trey Savage gets some good news today, but nobody knows. It just looked like an uncomfortable couple of warm-up pitches, and things kind of spiraled very quickly. So hoping for the best for Trey.

And then Tuesday is supposed to be exhale day. everyone's with their new teams you know if you're am I in AAA am I in Toronto am I with the Angels am I with the Astros uh that is supposed to and I would imagine for John Schneider it's like oh I know who's on my roster and then almost immediately uh there's an injury there so that's a bummer we'll keep an ear out uh John Schneider speaking around 11 40 this morning so I don't know if we'll have uh I don't know if we'll have an update just yet on Trey Savage uh and the MRI there but
We will keep an eye on it, of course. Madison, from there, the Jays had to turn it to Chad Dallas. He's been up and down from the minors a little bit this year. Six runs over three innings obviously isn't great. Some walk issues there. We don't need to go. I mean, he was put in an unfortunate situation. He's the last guy up from the minors. You need a couple innings out of him. But what did you see there? What do you think, as we evaluate the opportunities that he's had, what is notable to you about him not being able to kind of get going here a little bit?
Yesterday, I feel like it was almost kind of a combination of a little bit of bad luck mixed in there because I do feel like the Astros got to some pitches that were really not even in the strike zone, but they just put really good swings on them.
