How would you deal with Joey Barton in your dressing room?
I don't think I'd sign him.
He's a nuisance.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I think I've been relatively, I mean, when I think about how Sean Dyche, you know, handled me as a manager, I think, you know, certainly at the back end of my career, I thought he was outstanding in terms of the way he allowed me to use my strength to impact the team.
And any time I came close to the line, as I invariably do, because I'm so passionate and I want to win so much games,
um he he had great ways of putting checks and balances in place and you know he's a real strong man real strong leader and that's all i needed i needed discipline i needed a strong leader and i think i would have benefited from playing and playing for those those type of managers um you know if i look back on it i think as a young man growing up in in a kind of
public spotlight of the Premier League you know you make a lot of mistakes and you wish you could go back and change them certainly some of the old managers I think Kevin Keegan at Man City compared to when I had Kevin back at Newcastle you know the first thing I did was was apologize to him and say you know I was an absolute idiot at times and
I think, you know, Joey Barton, the player, I think at certain times, I think was a lot easier to manage than at other times.
And, you know, people forget that you have chaos going on in your life sometimes and you've got to play football through it.
Oh, no, no, no.
He's a top guy, Gaz.
Really good coach.
Done an unbelievable job.
You know, you could have picked a lot of managers in our league and I might have said the same thing, but, you know, Gaz is a good guy.
Give us those names.
most of them aren't in the playoffs so yeah he's a good character obviously he's an ex-QPR man and they've done unbelievable I think if it wasn't for Coventry doing what they've done I think Gaz would have been in the shelf manager of the season he'd done incredible to keep them up last year and obviously they've built on that and sat in the top two or three of the division for most of the season so
you know, big Achenfen were in there and they're a very game side.
You know, we'll have a, if it is settled that way, we'll have a very, very tough encounter against them.
