We will get a playoff situation.
And I do feel sorry for
you know Sunderland I never thought I'd say that but I do feel sorry for Sunderland I do feel a bit aggrieved for Gillingham, Doncaster even Ipswich probably because you know they will have all had a legitimate shot at the at a playoff place and obviously Peterborough who were a very very good side and it looks like if they do a weighted point system Sunderland and Peterborough will miss out and Wickham will jump in with Oxford, Portsmouth and ourselves.
I think there's many, many factors, isn't there?
Obviously, they don't have a lot of ambition to play on because they don't really have much to play for.
And that's understandable.
They've got no crowds in, which is a huge part of...
You know, the revenue streams for those type of clubs, they've obviously now got a government-backed furlough scheme where, you know, they can recoup a percentage of salaries whilst the crowds aren't in.
And you can understand the likes of Accrington, Rochdale, you know, they've seen Bury go out of business last year, Bolton almost go out of business last year.
and you can understand them wanting to protect their football clubs because of the impact those clubs have on the local community so I'm not here to tell anybody that they should do one thing or should do another thing but I would say you start the season with the aim of playing your 46 games and I think
you should adhere to that and if you can't you know contract players because we've got I think 1400 players out of contract this time next month almost and you know people looking for jobs and
If we're not careful, we might not have football clubs to come back to.
So we've got to find the balance between what's right for everybody, but also what's right for the integrity of the competition.
And I think it's important to finish the competition if we start it.
Hopefully we do that.
And as I say, if there's going to be winners and losers in this, I think Tranmere will certainly be victorious.
lead to next season I think Sunderland Peterborough and a few other sides rightly will be aggrieved and the winners in this will probably be Wickham in that scenario getting in and I think Rotherham have won the lottery by getting second because you know they had I think six of the top ten to play in the last period so it's not fair I don't think on lots of sides but also you know this is a global pandemic and we have to resolve it one way or the other for the sanctimony of the competition
Joey, last week you spoke on Troy Deeney's decision to not go back into training.
How would you deal with that if your best players, I think, or most important players, probably Troy Deeney is for Wofford, did that at Fleetwood?
Well, it depends, doesn't it?
