They're old.
I mean, untold millions by the state of Tennessee.
We know the position they've been put in.
And so if you have a Ohio State or a University of Alabama that is able to offer a kid a five, six, seven million dollar NIL package, most HBCUs cannot simply afford that.
The other part of it, too, is in this past NFL draft, not one single player from HBCU was drafted.
And so, again, and it's by design what the positions that HBCUs have been put in, but you're asking them to sacrifice something they've worked hard for their whole lives, which is having the opportunity to provide for their families and create a sense of generational wealth and to therefore leverage what they do.
at these universities to get to the NFL, we're saying, no, no, even though we can't even fortify our own support, you go out there and make all the sacrifices while we comfortably sit in our living rooms and watch Tennessee football every Saturday anyway.
No, I don't think it's selling out.
And I think it's far more important that people like the representative that we have on, that they lead this movement.
You know, the adults in different positions, or I'll even say this, I think athletes that have already gotten the money, LSU, as you know this, Don, has a very long,
Terrific, fantastic history of NFL players, right, that are currently in the league.
Justin Jefferson is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.
What is to stop Justin Jefferson from saying to LSU, because you know they want these athletes to come back.
They want them to give money.
They want them to talk to recruits.
They want them to amplify their football team.
and their football program, what if they said, you know what?
We're not coming back.
We're not going to assist you until you make a larger statement and join us in this fight.
We are not about to help boost and amplify your football program.
