Because we're not just talking about something for twenty seven.

This is something that will will st stand uh will will be set up and running for many years into the future.

Well one of the things that was really important um for the Netborn New Zealand Board was that we were forming a partnership with people where there was a genuine values alignment.

I've been in this role three weeks today and I've had the opportunity to spend quite a decent amount of time with both Anna and Ali, um, as has the chair of our board, Alistair Carruthers, and

through those discussions, we've got a real sense of their motivations, a real sense of their why.

They care deeply about sport, they care deeply about New Zealand and I think they believe in the potential that can come from investing properly into netball for women and girls in this country.

So we believe the value alignment is there and the rest of the

Um well the the non binding term sheet sets out a whole bunch of of minimum standards and expectations.

Actually Network New Zealand will hold a role on the board that is set up to govern the league.

So that's really important for us because obviously um we want to make sure that this new league is set up and operating with the ambition that we've all talked about today.

On what

It's a good question and and the non binding tomb sheet does talk about expectations around broadcast.

But as you know better than most, um, Mike, that landscape is is evolving at an absolutely rapid pace.

So we've got to be future focused when we're thinking about it.

So it's gonna be online then, is it?

Exactly what it looks like will be a consideration for Anna and Allie, but we'll be working really closely with them as we work to set up what it looks like from twenty seven and beyond.

Well, it's I've been talking to a lot of former Silver Ferns and a lot of people that are deeply involved in in the technical side of our sport.

And I think one of the things I'm hearing from a lot of them, Mike, is yes, eighteen players uh have signed to go offshore and we totally respect and understand why.

We couldn't give them certainty early enough.

But if you look at the ANZ premiership this year, we had around sixty players in that competition.
