Yeah, so a lot of people I and there's no shame for people who didn't know that there was a planned integration of the GA, the Ladies Gaelic Football Association, and the Camogee Association into a single governing body.
And apparently
I didn't know about this and I have to admit that my sporting knowledge and my GA knowledge wouldn't be top drawer.
But this has been in the works for quite some time and it was expected to be um completed by twenty twenty seven.
So essentially the three bodies would become one and that would give more equality and and m more, I suppose, more financial power to the women's.

And it's just one of the more obvious ways in which I think, and I have written this a few times, and I I'm I mean I always get a lot of pushback when I say it, but I do think that the GEA has a bit of a women problem.
And this week it definitely has a woman problem, and the woman being Mary McAleese.
So the background on this is that she was appointed independent chair of this integration process um back in twenty twenty two.
