And I think, like, ironically, today Ortea are reporting that there are no new properties available to rent within the HAP limits outside of Dublin or Kildare in June at all.

And this is research done by the Simon community, which found that just 20 properties were available to rent under the HAP scheme in the 16 different areas that they surveyed during June.

It's really difficult.

It's taken off you because you have to flee to a refuge for your own safety and for the safety of your children.

It's just horrendous.

And then for the landlord to characterise that as you voluntarily leaving.

I mean, I suppose this is what we're seeing is the downstream effects of a housing crisis and a rental crisis where landlords can simply decide, you know, this is too much hassle.

I don't want to deal with haptenants anymore.

And, you know, they're not legally supposed to do that.

But clearly...

that kind of thing can be got away with unless you come up and you find somebody like Sanna who's willing to vindicate her rights.

And she wanted to go public and she wanted to write the op-ed herself because she wants other people to know that you actually do have rights.

And she said, I never wanted to go to court and I never wanted to go before an authority like the Workplace Relations Commission.

However, I'm glad that I was able to do it because, you know, vindicating your rights means having the access.

It means being able to get through the door of a court.

And what's her situation now?

She's back in the house now and she's renting it and she's been paid some compensation for the stress and the trauma and everything else.
