So the end of the three-day wait was brought about actually by a bill brought by Sinn Féin to lift it.
And Fianna Fáil and Fianna Gael surprised everybody, I think, this week by saying the TDs would be given a free vote on whether to allow the bill to proceed to the second stage of the Dáil.
That happened on Wednesday evening and it passed.
I think it was 86 votes to 70.
So 86...
of the TDs voted in favour of ending the three-day wait.
So it meant that it was a compulsory cooling off period effectively and it meant that if you wanted to get an abortion and you were under the 12 weeks in order to get the medication and get the permission to go ahead and have an abortion you had to wait three days.
