Yeah, I mean, Governor Lee, yes, he's a Trump supporter.
When Trump called Governor Lee after the Clay decision and said, you should bring this legislature back into session to redo the maps, he did that and he passed a map that carved up Memphis, the last remaining Democratic district, the only predominantly Black city in Tennessee and two, three congressional districts.
So he did do Trump's bidding and all of that, but he's still not quite as MAGA as Andy Ogles is.
And it's really interesting that Billy did endorse Ogles' opponent, Charlie Hatcher, as you noted.
It does feel on the ground as if in Tennessee, I think Mitch would say, and a lot of the southern states that we went, the Trump hold not being what it used to be.
One physical representation of that was a Trump, driving past a Trump superstore on the side of the highway that had a massive going out of business sign on it.
So the, but the other thing, you know, you noted how this is how the Ogles, right, is sort of a, is sort of a,
Perfect Trump story.
I mean, the other part of it is redistricting.
Right.
I mean, we looked at Tennessee as sort of the as the total wipeout of from Kalei because they're taking away the last remaining Democratic district.
But also Ogles.
Ogles was part of when his first seat took when they carved up Nashville.
And after 2020, they carved up Nashville into three congressional districts.
Ogles had a part of that.
Now Ogles no longer has any bit of Nashville.
They put him in the Memphis district that is 200 miles away from Nashville.
They try to gerrymander it so that his, as you know, the primary opponents are outside of it.
And yet still, like, it does feel like some of this brokenness is catching up.
