It was all scraped up and dented.
But yeah, he had the paperwork in the back of his car.
I noticed it there months after we had gotten back together.
And I was like, this has been in your car this whole time?
He's like, yeah, I'm going to keep it around.
Because it reminds him like I have free will.
Like I cannot be in this relationship if I don't want to.
I think it helped him kind of come to terms with that.
But he had a lot of growing to do.
I had to go back to the drawing board because it was just like ripping a bandaid off a real fresh wound.
Were you like, oh my God, again.
More attacking my own self internally for what is wrong with you.
And then the narrative in my mind had become and was really concreted was you are not able to have a healthy relationship.
There's just something about you that you can't do it.
I guess that's me and I'll just live that way.
