Yeah, so it's the kind of workplace where your position depends basically on a masculinity contest.

So who's the smartest, who works the longest hours, who's the strongest in some workplaces.

So we see it, like we tend to see it more in workplaces or sectors that are traditionally more male dominated.

And especially when there's like high, like high stakes or high risks or where like, you know, where a lot of power and money is involved.

So it could be like an investment bank.

A lot of people think of like bro kind of cultures in Silicon Valley.

So that usually pops up.

But it could also be a construction site where it's more about like who's actually the strongest.

So yeah, so it's oftentimes about this intense competition, no room for vulnerability, that kind of stuff.

Yeah, it's basically exactly that.

So what we see is that women in these kind of work environments, they walk like a really fine line.

So they basically constantly have to negotiate their position in order to garner respect.

So if women and basically nobody, or at least in general, we see that people tend to think like, you know, they have to fight more in order to be respected by their coworkers.

But women feel this in even stronger ways than men.

And we saw indeed that women in response sometimes distance themselves from their gender as a way of, because they kind of feel like that gender is holding them back to gain respect.

So what they do is they kind of go along in this masculinity context, they play the game basically in order to survive, which can also go together with like really distancing from your gender and from femininity.

Yeah, exactly.

So that's really interesting, right?
