In the the fact that an occupation is prolonged does not in itself change its legal status under international law.

A two-state solution, particularly after the 7th of October, but also before that, is massively unpopular among Jewish Israelis, which is 80% of the population.
So this the comments made today by Mr.
Miliband, I think, will not be welcomed by an awful lot of Israeli.
Who will agree probably with their president who said earlier on that they're trying that that Britain's trying to interfere in what's going on, because essentially the idea that this is territory that Israel will always control and may well make part of its own state is very, very deeply rooted and held by an awful you know, from by a large majority of the population.
The argument that they make is that if they had there was a Palestinian
State it would be like Gaza and given half a chance, armed men would come out of that and try and kill them.
Uh and they've learnt their lesson after the seventh of October.
This is the narrative that that is often stated, and therefore it cannot be allowed to happen.
