Of course the counter to that is Israel's not going to get a moment's peace until Palestinians get justice and self determination.
Israel won't get security without that.
But you know, these are the old arguments.
Have been going on for decades and decades and decades.
It is, however, interesting that the British government has now chosen, I think significant actually, as well, because uh, you know, people, Britain in many ways is a diminished power around the world, but we still have a strong platform.
Uh, we uh you know we we are uh permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and the uh there's a big UN meeting at the
General Assembly coming up fairly shortly.
Uh and so, you know, Britain's voice does resonate on these subjects.
And you've seen it, I think, as well, because of the you can see with the statement that's come out of numerous other countries backing out what Britain's doing and essentially joining in as well.

Yeah, if we think back to October when they did the deal which ended the well
resulted in the ceasefire in the Gaza War.
Um, a lot at the time a lot of people, not least myself, were saying, look, th to make this work it's gonna lead a a lot of diplomatic attention.
It hasn't had that.
So where are we now?

It's virtually a year.
More than twelve hundred Palestinians have been killed by Israel in that period inside Gaza.
The UN has said that the level of demolitions and destruction there has increased by nine percent.
That's based on satellite information.
