And I couldn't enjoy it, dude.

I literally was like, they must have thought they were dead men on the plane, you know.

But yeah, I remember getting back and they immediately discovered that it was a coxalite.

I don't know the name of it, like valley fever.

And it had gotten...

from my lungs had damaged my heart my kidney my liver it had actually started coming out i got little scars on my arms because it came through the the skin it had gotten so bad so they were even at ucla they were worried that it had progressed too far so they give you um a pill that's like an antifungal yeah and um and a bunch of other other stuff and um then very slowly um i started

kind of regaining my energy.

And it's right about that time that I started doing the computers things and painting.

And then- You couldn't train anymore?

No, dude, I could not.

Like to walk down the block and then harvest a door would put me down for a day and a half, two days because the amount of energy had sucked out of my body.

I was skinny as a rail.

I was just really fucked up.

Are you not depressed?

Yeah, well, that's a whole nother thing, right?

Yeah, that's the next thing that happens, right?

Is you kind of get back to, okay, I can move, but who am I?

What am I doing?

So there's absolutely that loss of identity and ego, which is the best thing that ever happened to me.
