And then, yeah, stuff that had been discovered before, but that had just been found sort of dead, washed up on a shore somewhere, and no one really knew that much about how it moved in the sea that it actually lived in.

And being able to do that kind of like testing, that kind of imaging, all of that, even the DNA sequencing, just like on the ship, that's fantastic.
And I think we'll see a lot more discoveries like this in the future.

And here there's such a clear takeaway in terms of treating melanoma.
But before we talk about how that happens, I want to talk about the simple sea squirt, which is just one of the best names for an animal that has ever happened.

I don't know if you could take yourself seriously if you were a sea squirt.
I think that you don't have to take yourself seriously.
The sea squirt, if you're not familiar, is this little organism that lives in the water.
They're actually found all over the world in different species.
And they're basically just a little cylinder.
They're what's called a filter feeder.
So they pull in water.
They kind of filter out some of the nutrients out of it, and then they remove the rest.
