So, no, I just was surprised that you were celebrating the fact that Trump is paying the bills.

Doesn't that kind of make him a king, though?

Because Congress is supposed to hold the purse strings and is supposed to be in charge of this.

He won't allow Congress to do anything.

And so...

He's not in Congress.

What are you talking about?

Look, here's the thing.

I love this idea of docking the pay of lawmakers.

It has nothing to do with leveraging their salary for a certain policy prescription.

It has to do with doing your effing job.

And if you're not doing your job, then you don't get paid.

You wouldn't get paid if you didn't do your job.

And so I think it's a great thing to dock all the pay for every single member of Congress.

But more importantly, this is what I really want.

I think that taxpayers, any time the government shuts down, we should begin a tax holiday.

Because taxpayers have already paid for all this crap.

And so they should, we should go, what, spend 45 days now?

Give me a 45-day tax holiday.
