Artificial fears going into overdrive after the four biggest AI companies all came out in agreement that it's time to slow down development before AI becomes a threat to humanity. Anthropic CEO Dario Emida kicking it off, penning a lengthy essay calling on the industry to pump the brakes before it's too late.
I won't lie to you, there are real dangers. And and I think for too long the industry lied to people about the fact that this technology had risk. Doesn't mean we need to shut it all down. What I I would say it's a warning sign. It's a warning sign that we need to slow down.
And now former president Barack Obama is joining the panic parade, urging his party to make AI oversight the center of their agenda. And democrat leaders appear to be listening.
We don't have months, we don't have years, we gotta move now. Dr. Frankenstein is telling us the monsters escaped. Help us stop this.
For Congress to just sit on its hands, for the White House to do nothing real is something that is deeply dangerous to the American people.
Should take decisive action now so that we can slow down, as the CEOs have recently acknowledged, slow down the pace of development in order to protect the American people and ensure that AI is proceeding safely.
But President Trump isn't sounding the doomsday alarm just yet. He truthed this. The only control or guardrails that AI needs is a strong and smart, i.e., high IQ, president, and the USA has that in spades.

Well I say this, but we're leading China in AI. We're the most sophisticated country in the world. And frankly I want to keep it that way because whoever wins AI wins. And uh we could put guardrills, we can do this and that, but I think you have a lot of negative forces in a bringing it up. That uh shouldn't be bringing it up.
All right, Jesse, how do you foresee this going down?
Well when the smartest people in the world are begging the dumbest people in the world to help them out, something doesn't add up. So they're saying like we created the most powerful product in world history. More powerful than a nuclear weapon. It's gonna possibly kill us all in three years. Only Schumer can save us.
Yeah. So
what they're trying to do is they're trying to get these guys in to write their regulations because they know the Democrats will let 'em write whatever regulations they want. And it'll freeze out their competitors who are doing a lot of cheap AI really fast. And then all the politicians will get credit for saving mankind. Plus, the people that write the regulations get all the donations. If I told you the world was going to end if you didn't take this Vaxwood You do? Or if the world was going to end because of global warming, what would you do? Same thing's happening here. Some people get rich and we all still survive. The AI people are aligning themselves with Democrats because they know which way the wind is blowing, Congress could flip.
And the last time they aligned with Democrats worked out pretty well. They kicked the president off social media and they censored conservatives. This is just going to be much worse. Now this guy's a good thing. Anthropic and OpenII are about to go public. That means we get to look at their books. And their books, you're gonna see they're burning cash fast. So fast they need to slow things down. So they want to lock this thing in and make the government interfere in the market in their favor. Did they create a product that is going to hurt people? Going to tank the economy? That doesn't sound like a very good product. Why do they need the government to tell them to stop or slow it down? They should be able to do that themselves.
What it sounds like is they're trying to become like the vaccine companies. You know, the vaccine companies are indemnified from lawsuits.
