Everybody else has projected them to get gold or silver, right?

I think their gold tending is superior, and I think their depth at the blue line is phenomenal.

It's the forwards.

I just don't see that as a huge strength, right?

You look at Canada, and it's superstar after superstar after superstar, elite offensive production.

The U.S.

doesn't necessarily have that, and I'm not taking that away from the very elite talent that is there, the Jake Gensels, the Matt Boldys, right?

But they're all second tier to the McKinnons, the McDavids, the Celebrinis, the Crosbys, the Marners.

Like, it just...

Those guys succeed with the Canadian guys, not necessarily on their own.

So my concern is them getting to the podium, which I know is not a popular opinion.

I obviously am very high on having the elite of the elite.

I remember watching that silver medal finish with Zach Parisi getting in there to force overtime.

I remember all of that.

It was phenomenal.

And even going to Sochi, not as great of a turnout, but it was still fun to see some of those elite athletes, TJ Oshie, the superstar there.

But I feel like this team is closer to that 2014 squad in some ways than that 2010 squad.

I hope I'm wrong.

I'm excited to check out all of the games.

But there is there's just this weird gut feeling that I'm like, you know what?
