You're going to dominate group play.
No doubt about it.
I'm not worried about the prelims.
It's after that because anything can happen, which is what's going to make this tournament so exciting.
But it's not just Canada I'm worried about.
It's the other teams, too, that can come out and have a really surprising tournament and may shock the world and namely the U.S.
So we'll see.
And you mentioned building a squad like Herb Brooks did in the 1980.
And obviously there are tons of parallels you can always draw to any Olympic team and then tons of differences.
The big thing that Ron McClanahan had reminded me when we had him on the podcast was you can't coach the way that Herb Brooks coached.
Like nobody's going to be allowed to do that, right?
Like he was very almost cynical and so deep psychologically and really...
you know, Matt McClanahan was very quick to say, we're not trying to bag on him, but that's who he was.
Like he would not get away with that.
You would not have players that would not only respond to that type of, but everybody else would be calling for his head because, you know, nowadays the way that society has shifted, uh, for better or for worse, it's, it's different.
And you wouldn't be able to get what Herb was out of those kids because you have to treat these players different.
And now, especially as it pertains to some of these NHL stars on the on the U.S.
team, they wouldn't know what to do with a coach that spoke to them or treated them like that.
Right.
