The American Library Association tracked 729 challenges to library, school, and university materials and services in 2021.

And librarians have even been threatened with criminal charges and jail time in some places in this country for lending out challenged books.

You can contact your representatives about this issue by emailing, calling, or tweeting at them.

And above all else, buy banned and challenged books.
