So this was something I learned as a shock at the doctor's office.

And this is called a silent miscarriage, meaning the pregnancy stops, but your body doesn't expel the tissue.

So I had to have a DNC and it was extremely traumatic.

I felt so alone.

I felt so depressed, so angry.

I had to rewire my entire brain in terms of my expectations for the following year.

I felt like it was just so unfair.

Why is this happening to me?

And the intensity of the emotion was not something I was expecting or planning.

of emotional turmoil that I was experiencing.

Yeah.

And I learned, you know, I was thinking, oh, this is something I did.

Is it because I did this?

It did that.

And then learned that actually miscarriages are very common.

One in five pregnancies today.

And that it's usually not at all the mom's fault.

It's just a chromosomal abnormality.
