We've been back and forth on this so many times.
You know, we were supposed to enter a period of the 60-day ceasefire during which they could talk through some of these really, really weighty topics.
Maybe now we'll actually see something.
We're expecting talks in Doha this week.
Axios is reporting that the nature of those talks is going to revolve around the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, keeping that open and keeping traffic flowing through.
But there's a lot of other weighty topics that the U.S.
and Iran really have to kind of come to terms with.
A lot of the discussions so far have been focused on just really technical considerations over Iran's nuclear program.
So, again, a lot to chew through here.
I mean, if you're just taking that at face value, this pretty short statement coming from that foreign minister that does indicate that there's a line toward talks improving there.
We also obviously had that statement from Pakistan and Qatar.
They've been the mediators on all of this, saying,
that there is some of that progress made.
I think the big question, though, is, you know, where's Donald Trump in all of this?
Where's the U.S.
side of this?
We're still waiting for a statement to come out from the Americans.
So we'll see, you know, whether or not we've got something there that kind of, you know, confirms the fact that this progress is being made.
Remember, there's still about a 60-day negotiation process with preliminary talks.
So I think, you know, anything can really happen there.
