You know, it wasn't somebody got hurt.
It was a challenge.
It was difficult.
But it became, I think, a real good learning lesson.
I think you hit two key points in what you just said, and one is
As parents, we have to be convinced that it's really important.
So that we're willing to continue the struggle and the fight to get our kids outside.
Because if we're not convinced of it, we're gonna easily be swayed by it's not worth the hassle, it's not worth the fight to get them out there.
Um and the second huge piece is you have to make it fun for them.
So
With my daughter, when we go when we're out on the trail.
Some people they get out there, they hike and their focus is, you know, I'm gonna do eighteen and twenty miles every day because my focus is how far can I hike?
I've gotta get there.
The longest distance possible.
That means long days of walking.
For us that would just I I really don't think that would work for her.
So we do much shorter miles, but then we also two other things we have is when we find stopping spots.
So maybe it's a stop for lunch, maybe it's when we've gotten to where we're gonna sleep for the night, but we got there in the middle of the afternoon.
She has time, she loves to do imagination play, and so she has time, just free time.
to play in the woods.
