A man in a Marine uniform started shouting during the Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on the readiness of the joint force.
That man later identified as Brian McGinnis of North Carolina.
As he kept yelling, committee chair Dan Sullivan warned... Capitol Police will escort any protesters out of the hearing room.
They tried to do just that, but McGinnis fought back.
That's when Republican Senator Tim Sheehy of Montana jumped in, helping the cops get McGinnis out of the room.
During the melee, McGinnis caught his hand in a door, breaking it.
He's now facing several charges, including assaulting a police officer.

A federal judge last month denied a request to block depositions by the billionaire and two former Doge colleagues.
That means Elon Musk would have had to have gone through a deposition connected to a lawsuit tied to the shutdown of the U.S.
agency for international development.
Plaintiffs wanted more information about Musk and his tenure leading the Department of Government Efficiency.
The first judge said the proposed testimony was justified and not barred by protections for high-ranking officials.
But now an appeals court has said no.
Musk will not have to sit for a deposition after all.
