The briefings come as several lawmakers consider a War Powers resolution that would restrain President Trump's attack on Iran.
Both the House and Senate had already drafted resolutions long before the strike Saturday.
Under the War Powers Act of 1973,
The president's supposed to notify Congress within 48 hours of deploying troops.
Then it requires their withdrawal within 60 to 90 days unless Congress approves an extension.
