And my contention is that that whole system is not working to assure all of us that the reporting is as per required.
And that's why I make the suggestion of an oversight exercise, a standing committee.
I'm hearing from important stakeholders of mine how concerned they are, how aggrieved they are, how they feel that their trusted broadcaster is not being fair and accurate.
I would like the ABC to be as good as it possibly could be, not in any way to restrict it or constrain it from being independent, but just to be as good as it could be.
And I do think a structure where
independent group of people look at what is happening and they can give it a huge tick or they can give it guidance as to the fact that it needs to understand this particular hatred we are focused on better.
And we should find a way where they also run positive stories.
And I've said this in my statement, that they could run positive stories about other things Israel is doing.
Amazing start-up nation and things like that.
They very rarely do that.
There's no attempt at that part of the agenda.
