is an outlet, and it may not command the same audience as 60 Minutes once did.
But, you know, listen, Scott Pelley hops on YouTube, Stephen Colbert gets on YouTube, or Substack, you know, you could get some real critical mass going here.
And I think it's only a matter of time before we start to see
Something congeal.
There are too many folks like me and Joy and Don coming together.
We have a lot of fun doing this stuff.
What if we were to form an independent network where you brought some of these people together?
That was much more immune to these corporate pressures.
The problem is the money part.
And if you've got to finance this, that means somebody's got to have the paycheck.
And that is therein lies the rub.
How do we get around having that kind of corporate or angel investor, devil investor influence, Jeff Bezos-like investor influence on the product?
And so that's part of the reason why I think Don and Joy and I operate independently because we can be our own bosses.
Nobody can tell us.
If we go off on Trump, nobody's going to call us and say, I'm not going to call myself and say, Jim, you're a little too tough on Donald Trump today.
When I want a vacation, I say, Jim, can I have a vacation?
Yes, yes, you can.
That part of it is nice.
But once you start bringing bosses and corporations and middle management executives and all that shit, it becomes difficult.
And so we've got to figure out a way to build a better mousetrap is my sense of it.
