And I don't know why these corporate executives have not figured this out and have not come to the conclusion that they just need to stand up to this guy.

They made the same gamble that a lot of other politicians and universities and other segments of American society, they made the same bet, which is, gosh, if we could just ride this out, everything will be OK for our segment of society.

And it doesn't work that way.

It doesn't work that way with authoritarian regimes.

I mean, I worked with him many years ago at CBS.

And, you know, Scott, he's right out of the tradition of Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather and Edward R. Murrow.

And he takes it so seriously.

I mean, he lives and breathes CBS.

And I can't imagine CBS or 60 Minutes without him.

I think it's really astounding.

Like, you know, these corporate pressures can be overwhelming.
