The biggest issue I have as a politician with the Gwynedd Dáil is every TD wants me to send more Guardi to their community, which is a really good sign in a way.

It shows how trusted the Guardi are.

So like that's a very special relationship.

It's an unarmed police force, but I believe that tasers are required and it's been done on a pilot basis, as you know now.

That legislation was introduced nearly 20 years ago.

And nothing happened on it, even though the legislation providing for the monitoring, electronic monitoring of prisoners was on our statute book.

I have insisted that the tender be run.

The tender has now been run.

Bids have come in.

I'm committed to getting electronic monitoring up and running.

When?

Listen, in terms of the time span, I've got tenders in.

We're going to make a decision in respect of it.

Like, this is something that happens in the PSNI.

It happens in the UK.

It happens elsewhere.

And it's also not just about... It's not really a punitive measure.

It's about, as well, freeing up prison spaces to ensure that we can have people monitored without the necessity of incarceration.
