But yeah, I don't know.
I mean, I thought this could be way off the mark, but I know Duncan Fletcher wasn't a massive fan of Fred.
Just obviously Fred was an unbelievable player, but I think he felt like he was a challenge as a person.
And Glenn was obviously very close mates with Fred.
And I wonder if that had anything to do with it.
Oh, really?
Interesting.
Duncan didn't particularly want... Interesting.
I think he probably found it frustrating at the time, around that time when he felt, you know, seeing the players that were playing ahead of him.
Yeah.
Because I think if you ask anyone, the skills he had and...
The wickets he took is just a force on any wicket.
Had good pace as well.
So yeah, obviously now he's over it.
I don't think he has regrets or anything because when you don't get the opportunity, then there's nothing to sort of...
regret it's in someone else's hands you yeah yeah hoping that someone's going to pick you but just for him the timing probably wasn't because even you know if he'd have played in if he'd have played now or you know 20 years earlier he might have played 100 plus yeah yeah we could do with him now it was if because even like peter martin at lanks for example played instead of glenn didn't he like in that little chunk of time it was just a bowler

So there were players in that Lancashire team that did get chances.
Again, Ian Austin was probably a little bit before Glenn reached his peak.
