Why wasn't this level of support there for the basketball team a year and a half ago?

Yeah, I think interestingly, and something I learned again today from that briefing from the Stop the Game group, five of the basketball players actually boycotted that fixture and done so anonymously.
because they didn't want the public pressure that might come on them, the complications and additional pressures they might put on their teammates.
They felt they were open to threats, safety, security, infringements, all that kind of stuff.
I wasn't totally aware of that, but this just reaffirms my point of the pressure that the football players are under at the moment.
that them basketball players felt that morally they couldn't fulfil that fixture, but they didn't feel that they could say that publicly.
And that's now the pressure that we're putting on the footballers as well.

Are they impacting potential progression pathways that may occur outside of Ireland, in other countries later on in their career?
