I love being at the beach with no makeup, but I also love a lot of makeup and playing and experimenting, and as does my daughter, right?
But I think with that, it's the ebb and flows of what beauty means to me emotionally.
I'm such an emotional person, you can hear it.
But it's what beauty means to me and how I'm defining it from each moment or each era or each chapter, whatever that may be.
And let me tell you, there were many chapters where there was just makeup on 24-7.
I went to a leadership dinner, a very fancy leadership dinner.
It was very intimidating, two weeks ago.
And the person who hosted this dinner, it was a very intimate group of people.
She gave us a gift at the end of the dinner, and it was a book called Rest.
or relax, how to rest or... I think I know the one.
Yes, yes.
And she said, this has changed my life, this book, understanding how we rest intentionally, not...
distracting or couch rotting, although that's got a space too, but how we intentionally rest by finding activities that give us that playful sense of energy and spark of life in a restful way or do nothing at all intentionally.
That, I think, is the point of difference in being able to compartmentalize
what's important and a bit of an order and how to not be in this chaos.
So I even talked to you before about the Pomodoro.
So if I've got a full day at work and I've got Alia with me for the week and I have two major assignments and 6,000 words to write,
I'm using the Pomodoro for like three of those days, right?
And I'm finding flow.
So you put the timer on, 20, 25 minutes, intense work.
