Well, the thing about this artist is like I said, the the skill was there, right? voice-verified

But the thing is is that voice-verified

There was nothing terribly um unique because the energy wasn't there behind it. voice-verified

She was so concerned about making sure that it was technically right and that uh let's say uh the petals of the flower were, you know, that they were done well, that there was something missing in um in the energy. voice-verified

So when she went to tell the story, it's like, well, where's the story? voice-verified

Because it the the work looked so obvious. voice-verified

So I wanted to share that with you because maybe you feel like, oh no, my work has to be perfect. voice-verified

It has to be, you know, uh, you know, all everything has to look exactly right. voice-verified

And honestly, sometimes that kills the work. voice-verified

What you want to do is you maybe sometimes you want to leave it a little undone or a little messy or leave room for the viewer to do some interpretation, but don't voice-verified

like keep yourself from moving forward by put with putting your work out there because you feel like it's just not perfectly perfect. voice-verified

And one of the things that I I'd like to think about is the uh eighty five percent rule. voice-verified

I don't know if you guys are voice-verified

uh familiar with that but basically the idea of it is done is better than perfect that's the philosophy around the whole thing and so the goal is is to get the work out into the world so you can learn from real life experiences you can learn from uh from the feedback from other people you might find like I voice-verified

I have found that when sometimes when uh I have a a piece that's on the easel and maybe a designer or an art consultant will come in and they'll see a work that's um literally in the in my opinion the fugly stage on the easel and the consultant will walk in and be like, I want that one. voice-verified

I mean it's like voice-verified

We including me spend so much time trying to make sure that the work is just absolutely the way we want it. voice-verified

When in fact the real mindset hack to getting our work out there and building our career voice-verified

Could just be on acting on that eighty five percent rule. voice-verified
