And I think that if anyone is to be blamed for the freakout, it would have to be Yadkowski, because Yudkowski, as kind of the uh strange Wookie, and uh Nate Sores as a sort of Han Solo figure, have probably done more than anybody to bring awareness to the possibility that AIs that are outstripping humanity.

As this conversation unfolds, as we move from the insane environment of 2020 in which people were basically locked in their homes, and anyone who was tuned in was forced to listen to Klaus Schwab talking about the fourth industrial revolution and AI altering the entire world, all the way up through uh President Trump's election, the announcement of the Stargate project at the very outset of his presidency.
The immediate uh call for a 10-year moratorium on state legislation, the David Sachs-led stock bubble that uh uh began to blow up in response to this possibility that AI is gonna be the biggest thing in the universe, and we have to do this.
