One dude thought it was all humans lived through every evolutionary state of our prehistory, you know, so kids would play hunter-gatherer and all this.
That one was sort of discounted.
Once Freud came along, the psychoanalytical people were like, well, this is all internal desires and it's this and that.
So I don't know why we do it, but I do think there's something important about the voluntary aspect of it, right, because we've got actual problems when you grow up.
You have to pay your mortgage and no one just gives you money for free, if you know what I mean.
You could argue those problems.
They don't feel like fun.
So when we choose in our free time to recreate the same issues, and that's why, you know, like the MMOs, like massive online role-playing games, right, like The Grind.
So people, this is your free time now.
You've been at work all day.
Now it's your free time and you're choosing it to be mining, you know, arcanite or whatever.
If I look over your shoulder, this looks a hell of a lot like a job, you know.
Yeah, there are people with a pill bar that do this before they get paid.
But yet you're choosing to do it voluntarily, you know.
So there's obviously something about choosing your problems, you know, that…

I don't know the answer to any of this.

Yeah, well, it's interesting because when you do get down on the floor, like it's hard to do, right?
It's like I used to do, well, I still do, but I used to do those big long meditation courses, right?
