It's a group activity.
So say with kids, right, leave the parents out of it, but with a group of four kids playing school, it's a group activity.
It takes more than one kid, right, to have this particular type of play.
But it's all individual pursuit.
Every kid brings their little narrative to it.
This school I'm not doing too well and so I keep putting in detention.
And the teacher says, okay, cool, Johnny, you're in detention and bounces off that.
If the kid isn't bringing a narrative and is just standing around, they'll get booted.
It's really harsh, but your input's required.
It's great.
And it's when all those things weave together that, yeah, you suddenly, you're in this place, you've created a little story which you had no idea.
Like you say, the basic setting is their school, but you'll find this plot evolves and everyone bounces off it and sometimes they need to stick and move and sometimes someone will have to suddenly change roles.
You know, actually, we need you to be a kid.
Yeah, okay, I'm a kid.
Suddenly just you've turned that corner.
So it does work on memory, but it is imagination.
So the sort of poorer players from everything I've read, they'll just bring memory in, right, and they go, right, my mum acts like this, therefore all mums act like this.
