No, we were in competing bands, but I had so much respect for him.
He was one grade younger in that era.
So, you know, we were friends, but not close in high school.
And then, you know, out of high school, didn't talk for, you know, until I ran into him.
But it was probably three and a half years, four years out of high school.
My band had naturally fallen apart.
Because the drummer had to go to college.
And I had to work and, um, yeah, exactly.
And so I was just like trying to figure out like, what am I going to do?
I don't know how I'm going to do this.
And I just was writing songs and knew I needed to somehow stay in it.
And whatever that meant at the time was just keep writing and, you know, maybe like go to shows and talk to people and, um,
So this specific day that absolutely changed my life was I went to a guitar center.
