Baseball is a game where the other side has a say in what happens.

You can be as ready as you want.

You can make perfect pitches and still not get the result you want.

It's a tough sport.

I think players go through stretches where...

mechanically and delivery wise swing wise you just you feel like everything's extremely dialed in and there's less thought in your head you can really just focus on the competition aspect where there's stretches where you know your performance might be good but mentally you're just in a blender like you don't know what to fix things don't feel right you're getting good results but um and those things come and go so some guys come into spring in that zone where like things are just feeling right they're hitting stride early and then other guys takes a little while so

I don't think it's a sign of how we prepare or the group of guys that we have or the competitiveness in guys.

I think some guys are just trying to find that groove that, you know, hopefully you find at the end of spring training, but some guys don't get it until they're a couple weeks in.

Different every year.

Sure.

I mean, it happens throughout the year, too.

There's six, seven start stretches where you just don't feel like if everything feels super foreign to you and you go out and you just rely on your competitiveness and, you know, the game planning and studying and trying to create advantages where you can.

But that's something that's really out of your control to have that zone where you're like everything's working, you can execute pitches.

That's like that's the difference makers when you can remove thought from, you know, delivery and stuff and just focus on pure execution and competition.

Yeah, I enjoy this hobby.

I'm not I'm not a coffee snob.

But if I have availability to make good coffee, I'll always prefer that over a 7-Eleven cup.

Yeah, guys will bring beans in that they like and we'll throw them in.

It's just a Chemex pour over system.

But yeah, guys come by every day for a cup.
