And growing up, hearing about one PLO bombing after another PLO bombing, one PLO hijacking after another, it was pretty easy.
Growing up when I grew up, just seeing Israel as the good guys and seeing PLO as terrorists.
And you take the 1967 war and you've got all the Arab countries attacking Israel, 73, all the Arab countries attacking Israel.
It was pretty obvious.
We kind of need to support Israel.
They are the one democracy in the region, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
And so that was my frame of reference.
And what I said that morning was that was my frame of reference growing up.
Now imagine that you're of this generation.
Now imagine that you are under 25 or under 30.
Your views of Israel and the Palestinians has been shaped by Benjamin Netanyahu's maximalist policies, certainly shaped by what's happened in Gaza, the bombing in Gaza, the famine in Gaza, the hellacious conditions in Gaza, the debate over whether genocide was happening in Gaza or not.
