So we're seeing that.
But he was in a good kind of mode there in spring and early in the season and hitting some line drives up the middle.
He was doing really well against left-handed pitching earlier in the season, too, by just really staying on it better and trying to stay flat and staying inside it more.
But I don't know if that's who he is.
I think those are great hits.
But it's just not who he is.
I think he's the damaged guy.
Now, hey, everybody's allowed to improve regardless of what age you are.
But I don't think he's a power hitter that can hit for high average too.
And that approach is what sounds like you're trying to do there.
I'm just not sure that's him.
Well, you could be on to something, but I think we're going to find out.
What he did the other night was unreal.
I think that's the best we've seen him.
The velocity was really up, and he threw a couple good sliders, a couple good splits.
It was really good.
I think that would have worked in the ninth inning.
But I think what we're going to continue to see is what we saw.
You can talk about roles or innings, but more importantly than anything, guys, it's going to be where we are in the other team's lineup.
