It's like if you go to the store and you purchase a whole ton of food, you go to Trader Joe's, you get a couple hundred dollars worth of food, and then you never get

The bill right you never get the credit card bill and you don't know you're without data Somebody at some point is gonna have to tell you what it was that you spent on that food So you have truth the same thing goes for inspections somebody somewhere

Obviously, the credit card is not an umpire like the inspectors, but the inspectors like an umpire.

Somebody somewhere is going to have to tell you what is true.

That means that there is an agreement between the sides, the US and Iran, let's just say, on what Iran can have in its nuclear program.

And when we negotiated back in 2014, 2015, the United States' position on what should be allowed by Iran was grounded in fundamental analysis by our intelligence community and our nuclear enterprise that is situated in multiple national laboratories run by the US Department of Energy.

So we had analytic assessments

undergirding our negotiation position so that by the time a deal was completed with Iran, this JCPOA, the agreement stipulated in very clear quantitative measurements how much enriched material Iran could have on hand, up to what percent they could enrich, how many centrifuges they could have.

And all of that would then be verified by the scientists of the IAEA who would inspect around Iran to make sure they were living up to that.

And if they're living up to that, based upon our intelligence community and our nuclear experts, that meant they weren't building a nuclear weapon.

So that's why it matters.

None of that is in the current deal.

I got to just say, none of that.

I was in the legislative affairs side of it.

So part of the process of engaging Congress and explaining it and getting their support for it.

Yeah.

hugely important.
