This is a ongoing conflict that has popped up here and there, and there's no plan for the Trump administration to seek approval in that way.

But yeah, I mean, you pointed to Republicans who are increasingly getting worried about this.

Speaker Mike Johnson told reporters pretty flatly the other day that, yes, there needs to be an end to this war.

And if you look at this from Johnson's perspective, again, the

Politics of this are getting just worse and worse for Republicans as they try to hold on to the House, try to hold on to the Senate in the midterm elections.

You know, Trump promised that this war would be over quickly when airstrikes were first launched in late February.

But here we are nearly five months later.

And, you know, again, I think Americans are increasingly struggling to figure out what the aim is here.

Trump has tried to remind folks that the U.S.

is a lot safer without Iran lacking a nuclear weapon and saying that that's the goal here.

But I think that's often gotten lost, you know, when he also talks about other things, when he also talks about oil from Iran and other things like that.

And so I think a lot of folks are struggling to figure out what this is all about.

And then they're seeing that toll on the gas prices.

And that's

always such a reminder that that hurts the party in power when people feel like they're paying too much to drive their vehicles.

So, you know, I don't expect Congress to have a formal vote on this war.

Trump has argued there doesn't need to be one, but we'll see how that issue plays out.
