I think my first game was against Connick off the bench.

I got turned up on the Tuesday, so I was playing Saturday.

We played Connick.

So I got a little 20-minute cameo off the bench.

But the following week we played Claremont and Heineken at home.

And that was, you know, they had...

their Georgian front row they had the French international hooker they had like a Dutch international tight end and she was hard work so you know but we bounced around but I remember my first game for Gloucester because they were struggling in the front row they I signed myself and they signed Richard Hibbard for Gloucester because they tried to bolster their type 5

Our first game was Northampton away.

And I just remember the first scrum of the game.

They had Tsuwani Tonga Hoia, Dylan Hartley and Mujati, the African tight head.

And they peeled us.

And they peeled us back five metres.

And I just remember Hartley just mouthing off, just saying, welcome to the premiership.

I was just lying on my back going, oh my gosh, could be a long four years here.

but that's just how they see the game you know it's a real contest and the scrum and i was talking about you know freshness man if you're not quite there if you're a little bit tired or if you miss one thing up front man you're gone and so that's why i think having the props fresh and not waiting for a guy to get to 65 till he blows out and he gets rolled five meters and then you make a change that because that penalty could swing the momentum of the game if it's tight

and it's too hard to get back.

Well, I think, you know, again, I'm lucky I'm down at the games because I'm working with the tab, seeing the warm-ups.

I like watching the warm-ups.
