I went to boot camp in the Great Lakes, but I was mostly indoors getting scolded by my drill sergeant equivalents.
Yeah, no, for sure.
Uh I I grew up in a town called Quincy Mass, so just south of Boston, Mass.
And, you know, I graduated high school in two thousand six and a lot of my buddies in high school, when they graduated, they joined the Marines and the army and they went off to Iraq and Afghanistan.
Um
And I was always sort of inspired by that in and of itself.
I had grown up playing with G.I.
Joes.
I thought the military was the coolest thing.
Yeah.
But I my family was these v they they're just su super smart people.
Like academics.
Yeah, but like academics and writers.
Brilliantly smart storytellers, you know, journalists.
And so it just was always a thing that I was gonna go to college, even though I never really aspired to go to college.
It was just sort of part of my upbringing.
Um, and so I I do go to college actually in part because my my mom, who's a professional writer, wrote my college essay that basically got me into school.
Uh, but I did graduate from college.
