Like well said, my uh my grades were terrible in high school.

Uh and and I so I applied a school out in University of Massachusetts.

It's in Western Mass.

And so I send off my application and it's got bad high school grades.

Yeah.

And this essay, this poignant, beautiful essay she wrote about the last time I saw my best friend.

She wrote it from my perspective.

the school got in touch with me and they were like, Well, you know, your grades.

Not really what we're looking for, but my goodness, that essay.

You are in, young man.

So I got in on the strength of her essay.

But anyways, I graduate college and I've been telling my family all along that I was gonna I'm gonna go to law school.

I'm gonna go be a lawyer.

I didn't even and I I don't even know why I had that pegged as as my route.

I didn't want to do it at all.

Um, but really throughout college I couldn't stop thinking about those guys I knew from high school that, you know, went overseas.

And I didn't I didn't know if I really wanted to serve.
