And so we're we rolled through these bazaars, these, you know, these Afghan bazaars.
And r this is in 2013.
At this point, NATO has been in Afghanistan for a while.
And there's this weird
Almost deference that the locals tend to pay to NATO.
NATO's like these massive 60,000 ton like war machines are roaring through their bazaar, these narrow streets, these people out everywhere.
And then people like barely get out of your way.
They're just they don't get that it's like you don't even exist at this point.
But we had this thing where we couldn't slow down to us, we couldn't go below a certain speed going through these bazaars because the jam.
cammers that were designed to protect us in case there's a radio IED that's gonna be detonated near us.
If we went too slow, it wouldn't protect us.
So you had to go a certain speed through these bazaars.
And so you're looking it, it's like imagine if you drove 20 miles an hour too fast through a crowded, busy street full of people.
Oh, yeah.
You're not driving, but you're looking out the window, like, oh my God, we're gonna we're the drivers blasting through, just like weaving through these bazaars.
And uh, you know, we get to these mountain passes in this road, Route Utah, it's it's the
only paved road in Afghanistan at the time, it was the target of IED IED IED attacks all the time.
And so there were pockets of the road that would be badly damaged from IED blasts, but
What are you gonna do?
Stop and like fix the road to keep driving?
