And so we stopped.
No one had shot at us at this point, broad daylight.
Uh and our team lead, he's like, Hey, uh hold on a minute, let's take some covers.
We backed up, we we got behind this bridge.
And he's like, wait a minute.
If we go forward, I think we're gonna walk into an ambush.
It seems like based on the chatter we're hearing on the radio, that it it it very much appears like there are fighters in those second floors and they're gonna shoot.
They they know the rules of engagement.
They know they get one shot to to knock off a few of us with that first volley.
And you could hear it on the radio, they were talking about like when to shoot.
But if we go back, if we retreat, the way Zargenshar was built is it's like this, again, very urban, very tightly packed, pretty sprawling town.
But then just outside of the city walls, it's like there's no infrastructure, no buildings, nothing.
It's just desert.
So it's like this really densely populated space and then nothing to the outside.
And so if you think about trying to retreat, trying to ex-fill out of Zargenshaar, you're
X filling into an open area where
Uh, you're sort of exposed.
And so we found ourselves in this position where either we had to go forward into the courtyard.
knowing very likely there'd be an ambush or retreat because we put ourselves in a bad tactical spot.
But from those second floor windows, we we saw they would have the drop on us as we as soon as we exited.
