So we're like laying down and and rounds are impacting right there because there's a guy in the alley who can see us and we're like, fuck dude, like what are we gonna do?

It was just it was this crazy thing.
So we were fighting our way.
We we managed to roll off the roof and get out of there.

But for the next six hours or so it was just intimate, sporadic gunfighting.

By the time it got dark that night, even though we had in many ways sort of survived the initial volley, the dog survived, the the Afghans who were shot, they survived as well.

Like we were we were sort of on our toes now.

And but the the night really it just it didn't really amount to much.
We the people that were shooting at us, they would just vanish.
And there were known tunnels that were dug under the city for these fighters for years they've been fighting for years and years and years.
There's like secret tunnels to escape the town.
And so it's like somebody would be shooting at you and then they just vanish and you wouldn't you wouldn't be able to find them.
And so it sort of just felt like we were getting our butts kicked all day.
We were able to, you know, survive, but it didn't go well.
